The public is nowhere safe in this democratic society. A 28-year-old software engineer, Pranay Mishra moved to Bengaluru from Bhubaneswar for a better future in 2014 after he completed his education from Trident Academy of Technology as a software engineer. Who knew his death was pre-planned.
When Pranay Mishra, whose temporary resident at Tavarekere Bengaluru, was on the way to meet his girlfriend and colleague staying nearby on walking distance, stabbed to his death by two bike-borne men near Chocolate Factory, Tavarekere main road, south Bengaluru, around 3 am on Monday.
According to Madiwala police statement, Pranay partied at friend Balbir’s residence in Begur on Sunday night and returned to his rented accommodation around 2.45am. Pranay was dropped home by a friend. He called his girlfriend and told her he’d meet her in a few minutes.
When Pranay went on his Honda Activa to Chocolate Factory Junction, two bike-borne men accosted him and stabbed him many times in the stomach and neck. When Pranay tried to escape, they chased and stabbed him. The duo fled when he collapsed. Some pedestrian rushed to Pranay and took him to St. John’s Medical College Hospital where Doctor declared brought dead,” police suspect somebody known to Pranay killed him for personal reasons.
