Mumbai: Counting is over in the Bhiwandi-Nizampur City Municipal Corporation Elections on Friday.
The Bhiwandi-Nizampur City Municipal Corporation in Thane district was earlier ruled by the Congress-led alliance.

– 4:00 pm (90 seats) – Congress – 47, BJP 19, Shiv Sena 12, Samajwadi Party 2, NCP 0, Others 10
– 2:30 pm (90 seats) – Congress grabs 35 seats, Shiv Sena 12, BJP 9, Samajwadi Party 2, Others 11
– 1:00 pm (90 seats) – Congress wins 14 seats, Shiv Sena 9, BJP 5, Samajwadi Party 2, Others 7
– 12:05 pm (90 seats) – Congress grabs victory in 6 seats, Shiv Sena 4, BJP 3, Others 3
– 11:25 am – Congress wins 2 seats, BJP 3, Others 1
– 11:15 am – Congress leading on 4 seats, BJP 4, Shiv Sena 8, Others 9
– A total of 460 candidates are in the fray.
– The polling for all the 90 seats in Bhiwandi was held on Wednesday.
– The All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen had fielded nine candidates, while the MNS had put up seven in Bhiwandi, also known as Manchester of India.
– The State Election Commission began counting of votes at 10 am.
