After a long year and seeing things becoming digitalise Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has taken one step ahead by introduced an online single window system to issue permissions for new businesses and factories. This will make BMC smoother and ease of doing business policy a reality for civic body, Henceforth BMC will stop accepting physical applications all new business permissions will be issue through online portal. BMC online system is on a trial basis till 30 October later it will be fully on operation from October 31.
The system Introduce by BMC is simpler to get up to nine permissions online with time and status of the application and if online application works smoothly then civic body will not be accepting any physical forms in future to set up businesses and factories in Mumbai.

This common link of website will provide shops and establishment registration, health licence, trade licence, neon sign board licence and a factory permit. A no-objection certificate from the fire brigade has also been included in this list. Applicants don’t have to interact and this will reduce corruption.
Web portal online module allow application form with uploading scanned documents that need to be submitted, remarks from the department concerned on a registered mobile and email, online payment of fees and an intimation on email regarding the status of the application. Once the application is cleared from all departments, its copy will also be available online.
