Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan calls on the Vice President of India, pledge for the improvement of bilateral relations

The Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Mr. Rashid Meredov called on the Vice President of India, Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu, in Hyderabad House, here today. Officials and representatives from both countries were present on the occasion.

The Vice President said that the present trade between India and Turkmenistan is at USD 100 million which is below potential, and India is keen to improve bilateral trade. He further said that India has a stable and effective government and Turkmenistan is rich for its natural resources and both should go hand-in-hand for the benefit of the two nations. India has been the Healthcare destination for several countries including Turkmenistan, and get maximum benefit out of it, he added.

The Vice President thanked the Turkmenistan government for adopting Yoga. He wished them all the very best for the forthcoming Asian Indoor Games and Marshal Arts Games.
