U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) invites libraries and museums to participate in a webinar on Tuesday, Aug. 21from 2 to 3 p.m. (Eastern). The New-York Historical Society (N-YHS) will provide an overview of “The Citizenship Project.” The program leverages N-YHS museum and library collections and inquiry-driven instruction to teach the 100 questions from the USCIS Civics Test in depth, building a stronger understanding of American history and government for future U.S. applicants.

The presenters will provide an overview of the project, discuss their partnerships with other organizations, and share lessons from the first year. We will conclude with a question-and-answer session. We cannot answer any case-specific inquiries.

The webinar is presented as part of the federal partnership with the Institute of Museum and Library Services to provide citizenship and immigration information to library and museum professionals.
