Mumbai: There was a time when Mumbai University was counted as an esteemed University of India. While the nation is developing Mumbai University proves to be barrier in this journey by demotivating and playing with the future of lakhs of students.
University has broken the record of negligence for not obeying the Governor of Maharashtra and Chancellor of Mumbai University.

The first person of Maharashtra himself finds this intolerable movement against students. Scholars are being failed, results are never on time, revaluation results are not declared on time, photocopies are sent late, answer sheets are examined by unprofessional staff etc.

According to reputed media houses, authorities are not answering any student.Opposition leaders are highlighting their party while the ruling party is doing good for nothing. As per the survey parents are worried and sending their children overseas for higher education.

Three years survey says the number of Mumbai students to study abroad is equal to the number of students coming from India. This clearly emphasizes parents and students has no faith on Indian Education system. There can be many reasons but significant one is Reservation who are appointed as authorities by providing the undeserved promotions.

Once again Students of Law courses are in deep trouble as their admissions for Masters and applications for job opportunities are stuck due to this delay. The lack of number of full time dedicated teachers in the Law faculty is the reason for the delay in the paper correction.

Following a delay of over two months, the MU declared results of 254 examinations till Friday out of the total 477 examinations that were conducted this year. This includes results of Science, Commerce, Arts, Technology and Management courses except Law. The examinations were conducted in March and April and results were supposed to be announced within 45 days. A Law student said, “It is shocking to see that not a single result of our stream is announced till now. At least some results of Commerce are announced but what about our course?”

Students are in a fix as a large number have appeared the Common Entrance Test (CET) and have applied for Bachelor of Legislative Law (LLB.) or some have opted for post-graduation Master of Laws (LLM). Some students have incorrectly filled their graduation marks as the application for LLB. was due in July initially. A student said, “We had to fill both our CET scores and graduation marks while applying for LLB. So we filled average marks like 40 or 45 as our graduation marks according to our own will because we have not got our results yet.”These students may face a problem ahead once they get their results. Sachin Pawar, President of student Law Council, said, “The students filled incorrect marks out of fear that they would miss the application deadline. They did not want to lose a year. The cases of such students should be considered and they should be helped.” The deadline for the application was initially in July but now it has been postponed to August 9.

The reason for the delay in results is the lack of full-time examiners or teachers in the Law course. An official of the MU said, “Most of the teaching faculty in Law are practicing lawyers so they cannot dedicate their full time for paper correction. The number of full-time teachers is very less. While the number of students in Commerce and Law is quite large therefore the online assessment is taking time and the results are delayed.”
