Governor, CM felicitate eminent personalities at Raj Bhavan

The Governor of Maharashtra CH Vidyasagar Rao and State Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis felicitated eminent personalities from different part of the State at Raj Bhavan, Mumbai on Monday (1 May).

Among those who were honoured at Raj Bhavan were well known Neurosurgeon from Nagpur Dr Lokendra Singh, popular compere and interviewer Sudhir Gadgil, President of Bharatiya Jain Sanghatana Shantilal Mutha, swimming sensation Prabhat Koli, Cardiologist Dr Ajay U Mahajan and the Brand Ambassador of Organ Donation Juhi Pawar were felicitated on the occasion. In absence of YES Bank Chairman Rana Kapoor, the felicitation was accepted by a senior executive of the Bank.

Mentining that the official ceremony of formation of the State of Maharashtra had taken place in Raj Bhavan in the year 1960, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis complimented the Governor for his decision to organize Maharashtra Day celebrations at Raj Bhavan.

Students of universities in Maharashtra presented a programme ‘Maharashtra Vaibhav’ depicting the cultural diversity of Maharashtra on this occasion.

Speaker of Maharashtra Legislative Assembly Haribhau Bagde, Chief Justice of the Bombay High Court Justice Manjula Chellur, Ministers Vinod Tawde, Subhash Desai and Diwakar Raote, Mayor Vishwanath Mahadeshwar, members of the diplomatic community and other eminent personalities were present on the occasion.
