Indian Women Cricket team’s Harmanpreet Kaur’s 115-ball 171* against Australia in the Women’s Cricket World Cup semifinal gave our country a reason to celebrate.

She is just 28year old and gave us a reason to celebrate. Her mother, however, took the opportunity in reminding fellow Indians the need to empower their daughters.

“I just want to say other women that the way my daughter has made us proud, they should also give their daughter a chance to live their dream and shouldn’t kill them in the womb,” Harmanpreet Kaur’s mother Satinder Kaur told ANI.

Meanwhile, Harmanpreet Kaur’s father wished the Indian cricket team luck to bring the World Cup trophy home and to make the nation proud.

“I just wish the Indian women team all the luck. I hope Harmanpreet keeps playing the way she has been and bring the World Cup to India and make the nation proud,” he said.
