Samsung Mobile explodes in pocket

Samsung Grand Duos model mobile exploded in a man’s pocket. The incident CCTV footage of the exploding fiasco has also been released by Channel News Asia. This incident took place in Indonesia; CCTV footage seems that a man is seen falling onto the ground as his handset caught on fire all of a sudden and man is trying to remove his shirt desperately.

Samsung said in his statement that, CNET that the alleged device probably had a third-party component. South Korean Samsung justifying its stand by saying the battery used in the device was not manufactured by Samsung or a company authorized by Samsung.

“We request our customer’s to use Samsung’s genuine or approved batteries that have been specifically designed for use in Samsung products.

“This serious incident again becomes a reminder to Samsung mobile customer that how these devices unexpectedly can cause some serious injury. Use of third-party mobile batteries is not advisable but this trend is common as hardware parts come cheaper than the original. So what do we say about Samsung, Once again these kind of unexpected incidents has put Samsung into the ring of real trust issues  and it is not the responsibility of  the  company to look after the existing users and potential Samsung smartphone buyers life.
