Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh is the only child of his parents. He was born on August 15, 1967, in the Jats Sikh family of Gurgaar Modiya in Shri Ganga Nagar district of Rajasthan.

Fruit of deeds in the limelight when Baba Ram Rahim, chief of Dera Sacha Sauda, has finally reached behind bars for 20 years’ imprisonment by a CBI court in sexual abuse with Sadhvi.
Judge of the Special Court of CBI has been given him sentenced to 20 years in jail. The case in which the sentence was pronounced is 2002 and this was the beginning for overflowing his sin from the pit.
According to source Ram Rahim had accused of over 100 Rape and sexual abuse but the step was taken against him by two women who belonged to their cult. Both women use to live in headquarter of Dera Sacha Sauda in Sirsa, Haryana, 260 km from Chandigarh.
This case came out in 2002 when two women who belonged to Ram Rahim’s creed wrote an anonymous letter to then Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. In this, they accused the Dera chief of sexual abuse. Taking cognizance of the matter, the Punjab and Haryana High Court ordered a CBI inquiry.
Though the matter went into submission afterward, after 15 years, the special CBI court on August 25 convicted Baba in this case.
With the conviction of Baba, more than 30 people were killed in the violence and more than 250 were injured.
After the violence of Baba’s supporters in more than 3 states, where many states of Delhi and Haryana were declared Highlights, security was chalked out. Today, on the day of decision, comprehensive arrangements of security were made.

Honeypreet, believed to be the confidante of the Dera chief, is also emerging as a possible head of the controversial cult. When Ram Rahim Singh was being brought to the special court of CBI in Panchkula on Friday, Honeypreet was with him.
But there is also a rumor the adopted daughter cannot be the chief according to dera laws and she is having physical relation with Ram Rahim.

Women who accused by Ram Rahim 15 years ago have sought more punishment for him and their lawyer asked investigators to probe dozens more alleged cases of abuse. The CBI has asked the court to consider a longer prison term for the Dera chief.
Ram Rahim was medically examined and shifted small cell in Rohtak jail as prisoner number 1997. Since Friday, when he was flown to Rohtak in a luxury helicopter, Ram Rahim reportedly occupied a special cell and was given bottled water and was allowed an assistant amid massive criticism.
“The situation in the state is in control and peaceful, strict action will be taken against those who try to disturb peace,” said by Haryana Chief Minister Mahonar Lal Khattar, after an emergency meeting with top ministers, bureaucrats and police officers at his home in Chandigarh.
