MUMBAI: A 9thstandard student ended his life by jumping the sixth-floor terrace of the building at Sher e Punjab locality in Andheri (East) on Saturday. This incident took place around 5.30pm when the deceased Indrajit Sahani 14year old went upstairs and jumped to his end. Meghwadi police did not find any suicide note and are probing the reason that made the boy take such extreme step.

Though the deceased’s parents are unaware of the reason, police learned from Sahani’s friend that he had told them last week that he is not going to school from Monday onwards. Police are trying to get details about the deceased why he has told his friend’s such thing. Police said the deceased hailed from a well to do family and his father is an aviation engineer.

Meanwhile, messages have been circulated, which police is probing, that the boy was playing an online game called ‘ THE BLUE HAVEL’ which is based on 50 days dare thing. In which the dares are given to you online and you have to achieve them everyday and post the selfies on the group. The last stage of this game is to commit suicide.Deputy Commissioner of police (Zone X) Navinchandra Reddy said they have got the deceased laptop, mobile, and other gadgets to know the reason that made the boy end his life. “The boy’s parents do not know the reason. We are recording statements of the deceased friends to know the exact reason. He had told to some of his school friends that he is not going to school from Monday,” said Reddy.

Meghwadi police senior inspector Pandurang Patil said the incident was witnessed by residents of the locality when they saw the boy fell to death. Residents first alerted the boy’s mother who was present in the house in the same building from where the boy jumped and then called the police.
