In Germany, the police currently monitors electronic devices with the help of this technology, but there are many limitations. At the moment, this software can not read messages from many social messaging apps. A German newspaper has reported on the basis of a leaked report from the Interior Ministry that by the end of 2017 it would be possible to penetrate messenger services like WhatsApp. Previously, this software could only monitor desktop computers.
