Mumbai Woman lawyer found dead on mysterious

A woman lawyer about 20-year old was found death on railway track between Parel and Curry Road station on Wednesday evening.

Dadar railway police identified the body as Pallavi Vikamsey. Pallavi was missing since Wednesday and her friends had posted messages on social media along with her picture appealing for leads.

Pallavi had gone missing while returning from a law firm at Fort in south Mumbai where she was intern. According to GRP investigation Pallavi last seen was boarding a local train at CSMT station yesterday at around 6 pm as routine.

When she did not return home, her family members registered a missing complain at MRA Marg police station.

Pallavi was interning with Oasis Counsel at Fort. “After office, she went to CSMT,”source said. According to CCTV footage at CSMT showed Pallavi  at the station at 6pm. Her phone was switched off after her post 6.30pm, which made her family anxious. A relative received a text message from her phone which said “no one is responsible”.

Pallavi Vikamsey, was a daughter of the President of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) who recently completed her law.

Her father, Nilesh, and his siblings, Kamlesh and Ketan, are partners in Khimji Kunverji and Co. They have been auditing some of India’s biggest companies and also an independent director in several Indian and MNC companies.

Police said that we received a call from the station master at 8.30pm about a body lying on the tracks. The body had been sent to KEM Hospital and post-mortem examination gave the cause of death as “shock and haemorrhage due to multiple injuries”.
