Residential Building Collapses in Ghatkopar

A four-storey residential building collapsed in Ghatkopar suburb of Mumbai on Tuesday, killing three people by submerging in its debris. There are still many people trapped in the debris. The team of NDRF has also reached the removal of debris. Maharashtra Housing Minister said that three people died in the accident, which the hospital administration has given information.

PS Rahangale, chief of fire station of BMC said that many people are trapped under the debris of Damodar Park in Ghatkopar area. He informed that the control room of the municipal body got information about the accident at about 10.43 am on the phone via phone. He said that about eight fire engines, one rescue vehicle and one ambulance were sent to the spot.

He said, “Our rescue team, fire brigade personnel and other senior officers of BMC have also reached the spot and the rescue work is going on at war footing.
