Justice Lodha: BCCI is not being run in a proper manner

New Delhi. Justice (retired) RM Lodha has said that the BCCI is not being run in a very proper manner and amicably. He has given this statement to his recommendations not to implement the panel’s recommendations. In a special dialogue with the News Agency, Justice Lodha said, “Perhaps the Supreme Court wants to see what the BCCI’s motives are. We have to decide on the recommendation and the recommendations approved by the court if they have any problem. So, the Supreme Court will see it, so we are positive about it. ”

– Let us know that on July 18, 2016, the Supreme Court had approved most recommendations of the panel headed by Justice Lodha and asked them to implement them in six months. These recommendations were for structural reforms in the BCCI.

– On October 1, the Board had approved the important recommendations but did not approve those recommendations, which had a conflict between the Lodha panel and the Cricket Board. The recommendations not approved included one state one vote and recommendations of 70 years of age limit. The BCCAI committee has not approved them yet.

Lodha committee was formed to improve BCCI

– Let the Supreme Court set up a committee headed by Justice Lodha in January 2015 to improve the BCCI.

– The committee has suggested several changes in the BCCI in its report. On July 18, the Supreme Court approving the majority of these recommendations and gave them six months to the BCCI to implement them.

– Despite repeated instructions, the BCCI did not implement the recommendations, the Supreme Court had removed BCCI President Anurag Thakur and Secretary Ajay Shirke on January 2 this year. Later, the committee was appointed by four administrators to look after the affairs of the BCCI. In this committee, former CAG Vinod Rai, Historian Ramchandra Guha, banker VikramLimaye and Test cricketer Diana Idulji were included. However, Ramchandra Guha later resigned from it.
