In India, all-new BMW 5 Series was launched in four variants starting at Rs 49.9 lakh. Former Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar along with BMW India President VikramPawah launched the newest business sedan in Mumbai on Thursday.
BMW new 5 Series is against the new Mercedes-Benz E-Class, the Audi A6, the Jaguar XF, and the new entrants in the league — the Lexus ES and the Volvo S90, all of which are priced at Rs 52 to 75 lakh.
On June 13, BMW started making the new 5 Series at its Chennai plant. The Chennai plant has an annual production capacity of 11,000 units.
