Over 30 students admitted in the hospital affected by chemical leak

Over 30 school students from Shamli district, Uttar Pradesh, were admitted to the hospital on Tuesday 10th October. All the student found affected by harmful chemicals suffocating nearby sugar factory.

As per the statement was given by Additional SP of Shamli, district, Uttar Pradesh, that school students were gathering for assembly when the incident took place around 9 am.

As per the Indra Vikram Singh, District Magistrate of Shamli, affected children are   Saraswati Shishu Mandir student which is in Sadar area and they have taken to the hospital. CM Yogi called and ordered for inquiry about the incident to Commissioner DM of Saharanpur.

Dr. Indra Vikram Singh said the reason is unknown and investigations are underway but we cannot deny the possibility of accident happen by gas leakage from a sugar factory, situated in the center of the city. “The factory is close to the school and was installed in 1933.

However, later the students were taken to private hospitals by their parents.
