Hijack threat, Mumbai-Delhi Jet flight diverted Ahmedabad

A Jet Airlines flight 9W339 from Mumbai to Delhi was diverted to Ahmedabad early Monday morning after a security threat was reported on board.

A tipped note was found on board Jet flight 9W339 after a takeoff at 0255 hours from Mumbai is covered by hijackers and should not land and should be flown straight to POK.  Don’t take it as a joke.  Cargo area contains explosive bombs and will blast if you land in DEL.  Allah is great.”

After the letter founded captain diverted the flight immediately to Ahmedabad and landed at the city’s Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport at 0350 hours. Later passengers on board safely taken out.

Security agencies have identified the miscreant behind the fake hijack note threat in the flight by 05:00 am.

The passenger traveling to Delhi named Salla Birju confessed that he had placed the fake hijack threat note in the toilet to “destabilise jet operations.”

Twitted by, Civil Aviation Minister Ashok Gajapathi Raju stated that the miscreant who had put the note was identified and has been put on a no-fly list and take statutory criminal action.

And also informed that person responsible for Jet 339 (Mum-Del) incident causing the landing at Ahmedabad today morn.

I am advising the Airlines to put him on the No-Fly list immediately, in addition to other statutory criminal action.
